Cam Nicholl - Director
Cam has worked in the accessibility field for 9 years and is a highly professional, motivated, innovative individual, whose passion for accessibility is widely acknowledged and respected in the field.
Cam has built solid working relationships with many large organisations in both the corporate and public sectors in the UK. Cam has also been working from a global platform, servicing sales from the United States, Australia, France and Belgium.
Cam has a good practical knowledge of assistive software and their application to the Web in addition to sound knowledge of relevant legislation, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 and other international legislation surrounding accessibility.
Gavin Evans - Director
Gavin has been working in the field of accessibility for the last 8 years and is a well organised professional person, working with organisations on a global basis to improve the user experience for individuals with disabilities.
His focus is ensuring that organisations provide accessible platforms for people with access issues, whether it be internal applications or external facing websites, mobile offerings, Gaming or IPTV user interfaces.
He has an extremely good working knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) and Mobile Web Best Practices (MWBP), with the ability to apply these guidelines in the real world and how this impacts on users with disabilities.
Geraint Bevan - Team Manager
Hi my name is Geraint I have worked in the accessibility field for the last 4 years. I have experience using many different types of assistive technologies and automated tools. I am responsible for the user testing team and writing the Digital Accessibility Centre report.
Linn Muller - Office Manager
I joined the company in February 2012 as Office Manager and am finding the role interesting and rewarding. I am responsible for the administration of the office and have many years’ experience in an office environment. In my spare time I enjoy long walks and like to travel locally and abroad.
Gary Thomas - Low Vision and Screen Magnification Analyst
Hi my name is Gary, l am 43 years old. l have diabetic retinopathy which has affected my eyesight to an extent that l am blind in one eye and have very limited vision in the other. I currently use ZoomText screen magnification software to help me use a computer and to navigate websites.
Jaime Purvis - Screen Reader Analyst
Hi my name is Jaime, I am registered blind and have been using JAWS for the last 8 years. I have been testing websites using JAWS for the last 6 years, I enjoy doing this job as the websites that we test will eventually be made more accessible for screen reader users making it easier for blind users to navigate the websites.
Joy Robey - Readability and Dyslexia Analyst
Hi I'm Joy I suffer with Rheumatoid Arthritis, Fibromyalgia, and I have a Heart problem, I also experience Dyslexia, Colour blindness, and impaired vision. I use Assisted Technology to help me test different websites. l have passed my NVQ level 1 & 2 and have two and a half years experience testing websites for users with disabilities.
Rebecca Morgan - Voice Activation Analyst
My name is Rebecca Morgan. I'm a voice activation analyst. I test websites using voice activation software called Dragon Naturally Speaking. This means that I can use the computer through voice commands. I have a BA (hons) in Education Studies and Social Inclusion. l have recently completed a PTLLS course in online teaching.
Carly Malone - Screen Reader Analyst
My name is Carly Malone. I test websites and applications for screen readers such as JAWS and NVDA. I look for descriptive information on websites and ensure that it is possible to interact with them using screen reading software. I also work on small research projects and contribute to the development of policies. In my spare time, I am a trustee for a local visually impaired society. I also enjoy listening to music, socialising, swimming and walking.
Hugh Saunders - Team Support Officer
Lee Stone - Team Support Officer
Hi my name is Lee, I’m the lead Team Support Officer at the DAC. Before joining the Digital Accessibility Centre I worked as a carer for people with all disabilities which really helps in my role at the DAC. I support the accessibility audits by helping the team of web testers, gathering the results and finally quality checking and putting them into the report before it is passed on for technical auditing.
James O'Kane - Web Tester
My name is James O’Kane and I am 22 years old and live in Port Talbot, South Wales. I am colour blind and dyslexic and have worked as a Web-Tester for The Digital Accessibility Centre since January 2012. My other interests are Tae Kwon-Do, music, art and travel.
Christian Perera - Technical R & D Analyst
I have been in IT since my late teenage years on an apprenticeship, and have grown a real thirst for learning and bettering myself over the last 15 years.
Past experiences include: desktop support, server support, IS mobile support, antivirus & malware software accreditation testing, internet technical support, IT training, NVQ IT assessing, assistive technology training, 6 years supervisory experience.
